She excels at exploiting resources at her disposal to uncover lurking crimes. Beneath her aloof and flamboyant exterior, Yinlin possesses a heart of gold, reserved only for those she deems trustworthy.

Best Yinlin Build

Yinlin is a powerful character who specializes in dealing Electro damage over a large area. Her strength lies in the fact that she doesn’t need to stay on the field for long, making her an ideal sub-DPS. While Yinlin deals Electro damage off-field, your main DPS can deal even more damage.

Although Yinlin can serve as a main DPS, this approach compromises some of her damage potential. In this guide, we will explore a hybrid build for Yinlin to maximize her effectiveness.

Pros of Yinlin:

1. Huge damage area (the largest in the game so far).
2. Deals massive damage while off-field.
   
3. Quickly dispatches crowds of small enemies.
   
4. Deals quite significant damage.
   

Cons of Yinlin:

1. As a sub-DPS, she requires constant switching between characters, which might feel unfamiliar to some players.
2. Her Outro skill loses some of its value in the best Quick Swap teams.
   

Best Yinlin Echo and sets

There are several good Echoes for Yinlin, each with its unique advantages and benefits. Let's take a closer look at some effective set and Echo combinations for this character.

The Impermanence Heron Echo in combination with a support set like 5-piece Moonlit is the best build for your sub-DPS Yinlin. While this setup may reduce Yinlin's damage potential as a main damage dealer, it provides numerous bonuses for your second main DPS, who stays on the field for extended periods and requires a lot of energy. Only opt for this if you intend to use Yinlin as a sub-DPS.

The setup with Tempest Mephis / Thundering Mephis and 5-piece Void Thunder is the second-best option for Yinlin. Here, the focus is on increasing Yinlin's Electro damage, making it suitable even for a main DPS Yinlin. The differences between these two Echoes are minimal, so choose based on your playstyle, team composition, and overall stats (Tempest Mephis buffs the damage of her Heavy attack, while Thundering Mephis enhances Ultimate).

Substats: Energy Regeneration (until 20-30%) > Crit Rate / Crit DMG > ATK% > ATK = Resonance Skill DMG%.

The option with 2-piece Lingering Tunes and 2-piece Void Thunder is slightly weaker than the previous one, but it's easier to assemble if you have good pieces with nice stats.

Best Yinlin Weapon

The girl's signature weapon is undoubtedly the optimal choice. It surpasses other weapons by a significant margin due to its high critical chance stat and its passive ability, which provides an additional buff when the character is off the field (perfectly aligned with Yinlin playstyle). 

R1 Cosmic Ripples from Standart banner is also a solid option, offering a decent ATK base and Energy Recharge. However, due to its passive ability, it will shine best in a setup with Yinlin as the main DPS.

The 5-star Augment and 5-star Inzhou Keeper are the top choices among four-star weapons. However, the Battle Pass option ranks lower due to the high costs associated with obtaining it.

If you don't have any of the aforementioned options, you can temporarily equip the three-star choices, R5 Rectifier of Night and Guardian Rectifier.

Best Teams with Yinlin

Quick Swap team. Here, Calcharo serves as the main DPS. If, for any reason, you don't have Verina, you can replace her with any other sustain character.

Quick Swap team (cheap alternative).
